Decks by Jalex LLC is derived from Jalex Builders LLC, an established construction company located in southern RI. The owner, Raymond Degidio, has been in the industry for almost 34 years. He began working in 1986 and formed his own company in 1989. After years of building and remodeling he started doing bigger and more complicated decks. He decided to form the deck company after finishing in 2nd place in a national competition in 2016. Then he began deck bending and curving PVC deck boards. He has pushed himself and his crew to be creative and use ideas other companies do not. Not everyone has the same wants for their deck, but we are able to cover the whole spectrum to create the best deck for each homeowner. We are the only Timbertech/Azek platinum contractor in Rhode Island, allowing us to offer the first 7 years of your deck with these products to be covered by materials and labor. We have earned certifications as a nationally certified deck inspector and nationally certified master deck builder.
To keep up to date with the newest codes we attend code classes every year. We have our own dump truck and mini excavator so that we can incorporate hardscapes as well. We use helical piles driven into the ground for a stronger footing when possible. We have tested products for some of the premier fastener and hardware companies in the deck industry.
Using our building background allows us to offer exterior work in conjunction with decking projects. We have done additions, siding, windows, and trim so we become a one stop shop. We carry a $1,000,000.00 insurance policy and full workers compensation.
The owner, Ray Degidio, helped build a tiny house for a local friend in his hometown of Narragansett. The tiny home is completely custom and has traveled around the country.
